Lori Ennis is the Co-Founder and CEO of WorkWell Nexus, a woman- and veteran-owned leadership and HR consulting company that helps small and growing businesses reduce people-related risk, strengthen leaders and teams, and build practical people systems that support sustainable growth.
With more than 20 years of experience across retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and global aviation, Lori brings real-world HR, leadership, and operational experience to business owners who need practical support they can actually use. She has served in senior roles across talent, learning, employee experience, HR operations, and executive leadership, including Vice President of Talent, Learning, and Development and Chief of Staff to the CEO and Managing Director for North America.
Lori understands that most small business owners did not start their business to manage policies, personnel files, onboarding, performance issues, or team conflict. They started because they are great at what they do. As the business grows, informal people practices can begin creating confusion, inconsistency, and risk. Lori helps owners bring structure to the people side of the business without overcomplicating it.
Through Cobb County Business Bootcamp, Lori helps small business owners address people challenges with clarity and practical next steps. She supports owners with employee handbooks, onboarding processes, workplace records, personnel file setup, performance and accountability tools, DISC assessments, coaching, and team communication.
Her approach is simple: meet business owners where they are, clarify what matters most, and build what is needed next.
Lori holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from Belmont University. She is also a Maxwell DISC certified consultant, coach, trainer, and speaker and holds HIVE certification through the CCBB.
