Terms and Conditions

Each individual (Participant, also referred to as I or me) participating in the Cobb County Business Bootcamp Program (Program), which is organized and operated by Business Innovation Team (Company) or its affiliates or subsidiaries, must read and sign these Terms and Conditions (Agreement). In consideration for being allowed to participate in the Program, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is acknowledged, I agree as follows:

  1. Eligibility. Participant acknowledges that this program is funded by a federal grant. By signing this agreement the certify that they qualify as a minority business owner. 
  2. No Guaranteed Results. I am aware of that the program does not guarantee results. I acknowledge the there are many factors to business success, and no course can guarantee a positive result in my particular business. 
  3. Term. The term of this agreement is for a one-year term. The Agreement may be, but is not required to be, renewed by the Company at the end of the term. 
  4. Participation. I understand that the Program has limits on the Participant with the amount and scope of Participants interaction with the available resources within the Program. Those limits shall be indicated within the Programs materials. 
  5. Transferability. Participant understands that the Program and the rights and obligations arising from it are nontransferable without the prior written consent of all parties. Any attempt to transfer or assign this scholarship without such consent shall be null and void.
  6. Course Instructors. I understand that all of the instructors and professionals involved in the Program are independent contractors. The information contained in the multimedia content provided through the Program represents the views and opinions of the original creator and does not necessarily represent the views and opinions of the Cobb County Business Boot Camp. The mere appearance of the multimedia content in the Program materials does not constitute an endorsement by the Company or its affiliates of such multimedia content. 
  7. The Multimedia Content has been made available for informational and educational purposes only. The Company does not make any representation or warranties with respect to the accuracy, applicability, fitness, or completeness of the Multimedia Content. 
  8. The Multimedia Content is not intended to substitute for professional advice or guidance provided for your specific situation. 
  9. Consent to Use Likeness. I give permission irrevocably and in perpetuity to Company and Released Parties to use, adapt, reproduce, distribute, display, and publicly perform my name, visual likeness, writings, and biographical data, in whole or in part, in connection with the promotional or marketing activities of Company and the Program without additional compensation to me. I understand that my name, image, and visual likeness may be recorded by various means, including but not limited to still photography and video (Released Likeness). I waive to the fullest extent permitted by law any causes of action in law or in equity I may have now or in the future against Company or Released Parties for libel, slander, invasion of privacy, copyright or trademark infringement, violation of the right of publicity, or false light arising out of or in connection with Company’s or Released Parties’ use of any Released Likeness. I agree that all aspects of any Released Likeness are owned by Company and that Company may copyright any material containing the Released Likeness. If I receive any copy of material containing the Released Likeness, I will not authorize its use by any other party.
  10. Conduct. All Participants involved in the Cobb County Business Boot Camp are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner when interacting with other participants, Course Instructors and other affiliated professionals. This includes, but is not limited to, treating others with respect, communicating in a courteous and constructive manner, and refraining from any form of discrimination, harassment, or disruptive behavior. Any concerns regarding the conduct of a party should be promptly reported to the program staff for review and resolution. The program reserves the right to take appropriate action, including termination of participation, in the event of a party’s failure to adhere to these professional conduct expectations.
  11. Termination. The Company reserves the right to terminate this agreement at its sole discretion and for any reason by providing 1 day written notice to the Participant. In the event of such termination, the Company shall fulfill any outstanding payment obligations up to the effective date of termination. 
  12.  Choice of Law. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law provisions.
  13. Venue Selection. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cobb County, Georgia. Each party irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of such courts for the purpose of any such action or proceeding.
  14. Entire Agreement. This Agreement, including any attachments, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings, whether written or oral, relating to such subject matter. 
  15. Acceptance by Participant. I affirm that I am freely signing this Agreement as an acceptance of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. I certify that I have read this Agreement, that I fully understand its content, and that this Agreement cannot be modified orally. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract and that I am signing it of my own free will.
